Kelly Adair Finnegan Artist Statement 2018:

My work explores the experiences and feelings I have of the landscape and water. Focus on artistic
impressions of the outback and various Australian landscapes and desert. I am a colourist and enjoy
paintings which evoke mood and feelings. My contemporary influences are Mark Rothko, Willem
De Kooning and other artists from the New York Abstract movement.
I enjoy working with colour on large canvases, brush mark making and exploring painterly
techniques onto canvas, thus letting the paint run.

2006- Major group Exhibition at Mingara Gallery called one will hear the colour and see the sound paintings .

2004- Entered work titled Mysterious Reniassance no1 into Metro Art Prize.

1996- prints selected for the UWS MacArthur National Print Media Acquisition Award NSW Ray Arnold was the judge for the prize.
